THE COMING ELECTIONS
Last night the Oddfellows' Hall, East Belt, was crowded, on the occasion of Mr W. Flesher addressing the electors. At the close of his address a motion of thanks and confidence was duly proposed, as also one of thanks only. The Chairman declared the former to be carried, or rather he said : " I think it will please you best to say that the motion was carried." This was in consequence of Mr Flesher objecting to the Chairman several times asking those present to hold up their hands for the amendment, as he could not couat the number.
Mr O'Callaghan addressed the largest political meeting on Thursday night that has been held in Kirwee. Mr T. H. Anson occupied the chair. Mr O'Callaghan was frequently and loudly applauded during his address, and at the close answered a number of questions. He was accorded a vote of thanks for his address.
