POLITIKAL RIFORM ASSOSIASHUN.
"Ah, Pitty Em."
TA THE HBDITER OV THE "STAB."
Mister Hediter— Ah shal be varra much ableeged ta yo, if yo wil just put this bit ov coment in yor presshus paper, faw thi hedifikashun ov yor reeders. Ah think, Ser, ut wear gettin varra much enleetn'd on thi politikal subjeks. Ah can't help laffin ut thoas gintlmen ov thi ahuv Assosiashun, ot goas abaat spaatin ta mak thi peeple ov this generashun wiser ncr thay hey been. Un wen thay get warmd up, un sumboddy ses "here, here," thay think thair goin ta win the day. But as soin as thave dun, thair's Tom, Dik, un Arry, un all that lot, wink ut wun anuther, un shak ther heeads, un Bes " Yer nut a varra bad lot a fellahs afther all, bud we like them tother chaps better, un yo needn't cum agean wal we send fo yo, so gud neet lads, un we hoap yol get safe hoam."
It seems to me, Mr Hediter, ufc theas politikal ilekshuneerers arr a soat ov poli- | tikal free-thinkars, un hez neethur senter ncr sercumferens. Sumtaams they look like Ser Jon All, and sumtaams they look ilike Majer Hatkissin, and then like summat else. They say ut thay suppoat meshurs, nut men, but, Mr Hediter, it strikes me varra fosibly ut thel hey ta suppoat men, too, afore thair mesliurs arr ov any gud to N.Z. Ahem glad ut ah bilong ta that lot ut hez both gud meshura un gud men, un knaws ha ta meshur em. Bud ah shud just like ta say a wod er two abaat thair meshurs. Wei, wun is proteckshun ta free traid, un anuther is vigorish retrenshingment, un anuther is— Aw, lets Bee, wel, ah deklare ah can hardly tell wat nekst is, bud ah knaw ut thair's a grate divarsity ov opinyuns, un ah ekspekt thair workin em up tft a propper kliniax. Ah pitty em, fur yo see thaive gott no general ta lead em on ta viktery. Ah think, Mister hediter, ut yo mite speak ta aur prezidenb, un get im ta take em in, fur yo see thair gettin sik, un awm konfident ut thail soin rikover under awr flag.— l am, your's A YORKSHUR SPRATT.
