The Dimedin Contest. [Special to this "Stab."] DUNEDDJ, July 28. The choir was Btrenthened for the occasion by a few friends from St Paul's, and rendered several anthems, &c. (including two pieces produced by the conductor, Mr H. M. Johnson), in creditable style. Vocal solos, duets, trios, &c, were contributed by Mesdatnes Gray, Hunt, Cheeseman, and Campbell, Misses Johnson, Smith, and Budden, and Messrs Lindsay, Johnson (3), and Piischell. Messrs Hunt and Orchard played an instrumental duet nicely, and also accompanied the various items on tho piano and organ.
