The Recent Drowning Case.

FU-NEEAL OF THE VICTIMS.

The bodies of the victims of the recent fatal boat accident were interred yesterday. That of James M'Grath was bmied in the Roman Catholic cemetery, and those of "William and Frederick Gullick in the Addington cemetery in the afternoon. William Gullick was a private in the City Guards, and was interred with military honours. The coffin, which was covered with the Union Jack, and bore the deceased's heluwt, belt, and sword bayonet, was carried from his father's house to the hearse by six of his comrades, while four privates of the company acted a3 pall bearers. The corpse was saluted by a tiring party of thirteen men, under Colour-Sergeant Baker. The body of Frederick Gullick was then placed in another hearse. As the coffins were brought out a hymn was eunsr by the teachers and children of the Richmond Free Methodist Sunday School, of which the younger lad was a scholar. The hearses were preceded by the firing party with arms reversed, and were followed by a number of personal friends of the deceaaed. Then came the City Guards, under Captain Bishop and Lieutenant Mas3ey. Major Newall and Captain Bowron, ( with several members of the Sydenham Rifles and a few of the Irish, were also present. After the Volnnteera camo a number of other mourners and the Sunday school children. • The service at the cemetery was conducted by the Rev F. B. Dutton. ,A short address was delivered by Mr Ridley and Mr "VV. FJesher offered prayer After the service the escort paid a soldier's last tribute to their comrade by firing three volleys with admirable precision over his open grave.
