♦» The man James Hawlin, who was brought ; to the Hospital on Thursday in an unconj 6«iouß state, owing to a fall from his horse at Prebbleton, has regained consciousness and there are good hopes of his complete recovery. On Friday an accident occurred to a son of Mr Sambrook. who was attending the Ohoka school. The boy was swinging at the time, and by Borne means lost his footing and fell to the ground dislocating his right arm at the elbow joint. Mr Jacob Wade, who was driving by, took the little sufferer on to Kaiapoi, where Dr Ovenden administered < chloroform to thepatient and quickly reduced the facture.
