COOKTOWN, "Feb. 23. "Nothing has yet been heard of the ■twelve persons who have been missiug -since the boat accident of the 15th inst., and- itis considered certain that they have all perished.
SYDNEY, Feb. 23. The Legislative Assembly met today, but as Sir Patrick Jennings had not completed the task of forming a new Ministry, the House adjourned until to-morrow.
MELBOURNE, .Fed. ?3. The Tiirawera arrived from the Bluff this evening. She returns to _?ew Zealand on Thursday. The enquiry into the striking of the Waihora near Eddy stone Point will be opened to-morrow. i
