• [The following cable message appeared in our Second Edition of yesterday.] LONDON, Dec. 7. The Investigation Committee of the Consolidated Telephone Company re-affirms that Sir Julius Yogel, one of the Directors, enriched himself bymeans of the Company, and endorses the advice of counsel that a lawsuit should be instituted to recover the enormous profits made by him. . With reference to the foregoing, the Press Association sends word : — " Sir Julius Yogel requests us to state that he cannot believe that the Investigation Commission of the Telephone Company have made the statement attributed to them by the London correspondent, and that he emphatically . declares such statement to be utterly false and libellous."
