SUMNER.
The adjourned meeting of the By-law Committee was held in the Bohoolroom on Friday, Nov. 16; present— Messrs C. L. Wiggins (Chairman), Wheeler, Graham, Hayward, and Duokwortb. It was decided that the Committee should hold a special meeting on Friday, Deo. 14, at noon. The ordinary meeting of the Board was then held. Oor> respondence was received from the Selwyn County Counoil and from Mr Mouldey. The Clerk was requested to reply to these letters. The Clerk wrote requesting to be allowed to resign aa soon as convenient to the Board. The resignation was accepted. An application was reoeived from Mr Wateon. jun., offering his services as Town Clerk. Aoplioption accepted. Beoeipts, £15 19s 8d ; expenditure, £24 5s 6d { balance general account, £96 lls 2d ; creek aocount, £34 2b. The meeting then adjourned.
