- - ♦ [Pbb Pbbsb Association.] AUCKLAND. Sbpt.6. Katie Fernandei, aged six, daughter of Andrew Fernandas, of the Britomart Hotel, waa accidentally killed this evening. She went np a ladder through the man-hole at the upper storey roof, and while fesding pigeons there fell through a skylight head first down into the open oourt below, a depth of over 30 feet, expiring immediately. A meeting of shareholders in the New Zea* land Native Land Settlement Oompany was held to-day, but the business was not dis* dosed. James Watson, alias I 'anley, was committed for trial for uttering fraudulent oheques.
