[Pbb Pbbbb Abbooutiok.J WELLINGTON, Duo. 8. The steamer Nopier struck on Barrett's reef on leaving the harbour last night, and arrived at Pioton this morning with her forehold injured, and leaking. The Marine Department have reoeived the following telegram from the Customs officer at Foxton s— The master of the outter Hero, arrived from Akaroa, reports seeing some wraokage on Deo. 5. He ran alongside, and found it to be a vessel's foremait, painted yellow, and floating upright. He thinks it is that of the brigantine Esther. Oape Campbell Cove south by west, distant about 7 miles.
