Tho Mayor stated that nofruiihlk'onßea had boon granted. 1 Councillor Turner proposed — "That the : pet;! ion bo received aud ooneidnred iv connootion with any freah applications f6r , licenses." The motion was eecondod by Councillor Dickinson and curriod. FINANCIAL Tho Finanoe Committee reported that 4MS 15a 2d had boen received during tho past fcrtnii'ht. The credit balance at tbo Bank wns £291 2s 4il. Accounts amounting to £95 Oj wore paused for payment. I'KOrOBKD LOAN, feuncillor Dichineon proposed, and Councillor Bull seconded— " That a notice be published, in terma of cluuao 170 of tho Munioipal Corporations Act, thnt it ia tnn intontion of tbo Counoil to raise >i loan of £10,000, for tho following purpoata, viz., for tlie widening, re« forming und motalling roads within tho Borough ; for tho formation of footpaths ; for tho sinking of wolla for watoring purposes ; and for works incidental thoroto, and to levy a special rato to pay the interest thoreon." Tho moti-n was carried unanimously. COUHESrONDKNCB.
