Tho following report was adopted : — 11 The Inappctor's report for tho past month shows a markod improvement in tbe condition of things at t.ho ualeyards. Very few disabled horses aro now brought for aule, and fowlß and other birds are brought in untied and in apeciaUy constructed open boxes. Hf, bowever, draws attention to tho want of wator in iho yards, and to the great desirability of having tho pig pena covered, in viow of tho approaching warm woatber. He had occasion to draw the attention of tho polico to the sale of a disabled horae. Tho purchaser waa cautioned and cancelled tho b»1o. Tbe owner promised to h«.ve the animal deatrojod, aB it waß quito unlit for furthor duty. Three mon were cautioned for driving horses in bad condition and with Bores. Tbe Inspector alao had a conversation with tho owner of a cow as to tho filthy condition in whioh tho animal waß kopt, hia skin being rubbed baro for want of propor accommodation and caro. As we havo now some 70 membera, it is felt that it is only due to them and to the parties who may takd an iaterest in our work, thusto put before them from month to month some special notiVs o£ our work. Eaiapoi, Bangiora, and other places, as was done by the Melbourne Society. On the motion of Mr T. S. Weston, it wai decided that Bueh branch honorary agents be appointed. It was decided that Mr Pozzi's offer to make a rubber stamp for the Society be accopted with thanks. It waß resolved, on the motion of Mi Jameaon, seconded by Mr Stanley Edwards— " That tho Inspector's salary be inoreased to £1 10s per week." The meeting then adjournod.
