MRS HAMPSON'S MISSION.

At tbe service last evening there was a large attendance, the house being crowded to the doors. The choir, under the leadership of Mr Twentyman, led the singing. The service commenced by singing hymn 38 of I Sankey's collection. The Bey J. Ward engaged in prayer. After another hymn Mrs Bampson read and expounded the third chapter of the Acts of the • Apostles. Hymn 138' waa then sung, after which Mtb Hampson addressed the meeting from 111 Kings v., 13V' " Wash and be Clean." She detailed the narrative of Naaman's leproay, and his miraoulous cure. Leprosy was a type of the spiritual diaeaae of sin in being hereditary and contagious. As none but a miraculous power could cleanse Naaman from his leproßy, so there was only one- fountain at which man could be cleansed of hia sin, the fountain of God's love through Ghristi Naaman's pride rebelled at the simple direction to wash and be clean ; the same proud spirit ruled in many who would wiah to be cleansed from sin by some more complicated method than that which God had ordained. They wished to find salvation by their own acts or sufferings. She concluded by an exhortation to her audience to accept Christ aa the only Saviour. After the servioe, was closed, many remained to the enquiry meeting; The mission, which haa been very successful this week, will be oontinued "until Tuesday. This evening there will be service in theatre at 7.30, and Mrs Hampaon will deliver an address. To-morrow Mrs Hampson will conduct three services, all in the theatre. In the morning, at 8.30, prayer and address; in the afternoon at 3, service for children ; in the evening at 7.30, service with address. A large number of chairs have been added since last Sunday, so that accommodation is provided for a much greater congregation than was seated last Sunday evening; .and the Committee earnestly invite non- church goers to take their places early, before members of church congregations arrive.
