LONDON, March 22. A grand banquet will be given in honour of Sir Henry Parfees at Edinburgh next month. The Duke of Edinburgh will preside. The homeward New Zealand and Australian mails, which lejEt Auckland on Jan. 31 via San Francisco, were delivered in London to-day. BERLIN, Maech 22. The eighty-fifth anniverlary of the birthday of the Emperor William was celebrated to-day with great enthusiasm and rejoicing throughout the empire. LONDON, March 22. Arrived — Ship Rakaia, from Auckland, sailed Nov. 27 ; Wanganui, from Lyttelton, Dec. 15 ; Salamanca, from Lyttelton, Dec. 16 ; City of Lahore, from Port Chalmers, Dec. 4. LONDON, Maech 22. Consols 101£. New Zealand securities are unchanged. Adelaide and New. Zealand wheat has advanced Is per quarter. Adelaide, ex warehouse, ia now quoted at 54s ; New Zealand ditto at 51s. Adelaide flour, ex store, has advanced to 389. Galvanised iron, 26 gauge, has declined 10s per ton, and to-day's quotation is £18 15s. Best Sydney copra remains at £16 per ton. At the wool sales to-day 10,000 bales were offered. Prices are firmer. Port Philip wools are now about Id higher than, last sales. MELBOURNE, March 23. The Age, in itß issue to-day, publishes an article purporting to give authentic information with regard to Russian designs upon the Australian Colonies. The intelligence is forwarded by ono Henry Bryant, who is alleged to have been employed as the agent of Admiral Aelanbegoff during his recent visit to the Colonies. SIDNEY, March 23. A train of camels, with provisions for the relief of the distressed miners, is now on its way to Mount Brown goldfield.
