THE EXHIBITION.
It may be of interest in connection with tho approaching Exhibition to give some idea of the extent of the exhibits of the prinoipal nationalities. ' The Indian display will ocoupy one bay, and will oompriee chiefly carpets, rugs, brassware, ivory and sandalwood goods, and tea and coffee. Messrs J. S. Saunders and Co., of Melbourne and India, are the agents for the abovementioned. The German Court consists of five bays, and there will be large exhibits of sewing and knitting machines, wool-working machinery, and a grand display of ornamental iron oastings from Count Stolberg. There will in addition be a number of exhibits of cloths. France has also five bays allotted to her, the prinoipal feature of the articles shown being a very fine display of clooks and bronzes by the same firms, whose exhibits attracted a large share of attention at the Melbourne exhibition. From Belgium will be sent samples of cloths from 13 manufacturers ; also, window glass and liqueurs. The ball to be given by his Worship the Mayor of Christchuroh, will be held in the Art Gallery of the Exhibition Building, on Thursday) April 3. The invitations to guests will shortly be issued.
