Dbtokknnks3. — Lily Wright, alias Thompson, was fined 109, or 24 hours.— William Sarkey, for a similar offence, ss, or 24 hours. Damaging Pbopbbtt. — William Sarkey was further nbarged with damaging some property belonging to John Balwood, of the value of 10«. The prisoner expressed his regret, and was fined Is, and 10a, the amount of damage, or in default 24 hours. Violent Assault.— John Gilpin, on remand, waß brought up charged with assaulting W. Clements. The medical man in attendance on Clements gave evidence that the prosecutor was still unable to attend, owing to the injuries ho had received. On the application of Sergeant Maaon, the prisoner was remanded to Friday next. Dbsbbtioh. — Jack Bo«e, on remand, was egain brought up charged with desertion from H.M.B. Baleigh. Bergeant Mason applied for a further remand, as no reply had been received to a telegram despatched to Sydney by the authorities. The prisoner objected to the application, on the ground that he had been already remanded on four occasions. The Magistrate said he should grant the remand for eight days, as at. present there was no naval vessel In Nev Zaaland waters to which the prisoner could be Bent. There were no civil cases on the list for hearing.
