Mailß close at the Chief Poet Office for the foilowing places (subjeot to the ueoessary alterations) asunder:—
Wednesday, August 24. For Akaroa and Otago, per Pengnin, at 9.40 a.m. ; late foe letters, at 950 a.m. ; guard's van, 10.20 a.m. train.
Thursday, August 25. For Otago, Australian Colonies, and Unitod King, dom and Continent of Kurope, vi& Brindisi (for specially addressed corrospoudence only), per Bingarooma, at 11.30 a.m; late foe lottors, 11.40 a.m.; registered letters, 10.30 a.m.; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per "Rotorua, at 1.45 p.m.; lato fee letters, at 2 p.m. ; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Kaikoura, per Tui, at 3.20 p m. ; late feo letters, at 3.30 p.m. ; guard's van, 4 p.m. train.
The noxt mail for tho Unitod Kingdom vift San Francisco will cloeo on Saturday, Sopt. 10, and will bo duo in London on Oot. 25.
