LYTTELTON. Thursday, Jttsh 17. (Before J. T. House, Esq.) Using Obscene Languaob and ASSAULTING A CONSTABLH EN THIB HXBOUTION OF HIS ditty. — John Finnic, a seaman belonging to the s.s. Norfolk, was charged 1 with this offence by Constable Henry. The constable stated the accused was going about the town in a very rowdy manner on Wednesday morning, and using very filthy language* He, cautioned him and advised him to go on board his vessel ; he refused fco do this and said he could lick any bobby in Lyttelton. He made use of very bad language. Witness arrested him, when he became very violent and kicked and bit witness Several witnesses gave evidence ia Bupport of the case, and the Bench fined accused 40s, or in default one month's hard labour;
