HEATHCOTE NOMINATION.
* Hie nomination of candidates for the re* presentation of the Heathooto dißtriot took j^aoe to-day at noon, at the Henthcote Soa* Board office Ferry road. About fifty eleotoj* were present. T'te Befcurning Officer, Hht Gt. ii. Lee, hanng read the writ, Mr B. Olephano in a lengthy speech proposed th© Hdn J. T. Fisher, and Mr U. A. Baafiord eeoondod the nomination. Mr W. Goodwin, in a lengthy speech, proposed, and M* E. H. Shirloy seconded Mr J. A. Morgan. A enow of hands was taken, and declarta by tho Returning Officer to be ur favour of Mr Fisher. Messrs Goodwin and Shirley demanded a> poll on bohalf of Mr Morgap, Both candidates addreg^d the meeting, and replied to questions, sifter which a vote of thanks to tho Returning Officer, propoßod by Mr Fioher, and {seconded by Mr Morgan^ oonolttded the business. The election wiU tftko place OQ Sept. 8.
