Police Ordinance.— H. Sedcole was charged by the police with using abusive and insulting language towards Mr Coventry, station-master, East Oxford, on tho railway premises. Accused in defence said tho sta-

tion-master was in the habit of continually obstructing him when loading and unloading trucks, kc, at tho railway station, which caused him (accused) to make use of tbe language complained of, viz., thafc ho should be in a lunatic asylum instead of being station master. Fined Is and costs.

Cattle Trespass.— Goo. Gibbs, J. Leithwaite (throo informations), J. Lee, R. E. Howard, and A. Larkin, for allowing cattle to wander at large on public roads wero fined ob and costs. — A similar case against G. E. Woylandt was dismissed with a caution.

Jt üblic Wobks Act. — Geo. Gibbs and John Mullin, for allowing cattle to wander on railway line, were fined 5s and costs. — J. Boston, for allowing eight head to wander on the railway line, was fined 10s and costs.
