KAIAPOI WOOLLEN MANUFACTURING COMPANY.

The first :ui!iiial meeting of tin's Comjanv was hold v; the Company's office, Charles street, Ivaiapm', on Wednesday. Mr Isaac Wilson, Chairman, of Directors presided, nnd and congratulate! the members on the (loii'ishing state of the Company. He then read tlie aimu il report and balance sheet, which latter showed that the total assets o£ the Company a! !ho present ditto wore £22,525 O.sfSii ; the toi;il liabilities were were £21,743! sfl 1<?, (hus shoeing a balance in favour of the Company of £778 4s 7cl. The nominal capital was shown as being £15,000, of which £9000 is paid up. Mr Isaac Wilson, the retiring director, was unanimously re-elected. The Hon J. T. Peacock moved a cordial vole of thanks to t io directors, to whom he considered was attributable in a great measure, the success of the company. MY Mulcock seconded the resolution, which was carried. The report stalril that the new machinery waa now being fitii-d up, which will make the whole plant, duly proportioned and completeIt also recommended the erection of anew* concrete warehouse, at an cstima'cd cost o£ £565. Mr G. It. lilackwell was deputed to represent tho Company in the North Island. Ho left in the steamer Eiugarooma for that purpose yesterday morning. Resolved, on the motion of the Chairman, seconded by Mr GL Coup —" That l! c report and balance sheet be adopted." There being no other business the meeting adjourned.
