AUCKLAND.
[special] Jan. IG. The forgiug of a crank pin for the mail steamer will be done at Jforfc and Co.'s, Sydney, and the fitting by Eraser and Tinne in this city. A telegram from Sydney says it will be brought on by the Hero, which leaves there on Jan. 21. The fitting and turning will take about 36 hours.
