The amort barquontino Ebcnezor, Captain Milne, arrived from tho Mauritius on Saturday night, after a splendid run of thirty-seven days, tho fastest passage, with one exception, that has yet been mode here. ' '. . The Ebenezer, it will be remembered, loft hero in Jane last for Oamaru, where; eho loaded for the Cape, and having discharged cargo thon went on to Port Louis, where she lay for a month before load-
ing. Captain Milne reports leaving Port Louis on Deo. 5, and having very fair weather and light northerly winds during tho whale of the passage to making Stowart'3 Xelaud on Thursday at 2 a.m. Southerly winds were experienced np tho coast, the vessel anchoring off tho breakwater at 8.30 p.m. on Saturday. Captain Milne states that the Mario had not commenced loading when he left.
The Captain of the Jane Douglas, which vessel arrived last evening, reports calling at Kapiti, and that the ketch Elizabeth, which went ashore there; iB being rapidly repaired, and will shortly leave for ■Wellington.— Wellington Post, Jan. 19. The Dane, 12 guns, screw-corvette, Captain John C. Purvis, left Simon's Bay, Cape of Qood Hope, on Oct. 2, for the Australian station.
