CRICKET.
**» A match wa3 played on Saturday last on the Hagley Park ground between the U.C.C.C. and C.C.C. There was a ; tolerable attendance of spectators, amongst whom were several ladies. A strong nor'-wester was, blowing all afternoon, interfering materially with the bowling from one end. There was little in the play worthy of special notice, if we except one or two smart catches. We hope to see a great improvement, especially in the fielding, on another occasion. The match will be played out next Saturday. The following are the scores: — C.C.C.
