The Star Office, This Day. N / The land sales to-day amounted to 110 acres, as follows : — Banks' Peninsula district, 100 acres ; Waipara do, 10 acres ; realising £220.

Preece's Central Market and Saleyards were largely attended on Saturday, and prices fully maintained last week's quotations : — Cattle, calves a few days old, 13s to 18s each; steers, 3 months old, 31s to 40s each. Horses— inferior hacks, £3 to £6 each ; useful light harness horses, £7 15s to £15 10s. Pigs— suckers, 5s to 8s 6d ; small stores, 10s to 20s ; large stores, 22s 6d to 255 ; porkers, 30s to 36s each ; large bacon pigs, 48s to 61s each. Poultry — fowls, ls 9d to 3s 3d per pair ; ducks, 4s per pair ; turkeys, 3s 6d tb 5s each. There has been no material alteration in the prices of produce during the past week.

The New Zealand Gazette of May 12 gives the returns of the Customs Revenue at the several ports during the quarter ended March 31 as follows: — Auckland, £46,933; Taranaki, £1606; Wellington, £19,715; Hawke's Bay, £7067; Marlborough, £1893; Nelson, £8128; Westland, £26,0.54; Canterbury, £25,085 ; Otago, £56,566; fcouthland, £6714. The following return of agricultural statistics for the province of Nelson, shewing the number of acres under crop, and the estimated yield, is published in the Gazette of May 12 :— Wheat, 3123 acres, 55,522 bushels; oats, 2319 acres, 55,918 bushels; barley, 1271 acres, 33,170 bushels ; hay, 2326 acres, 2954 tons ; potatoes, 938 acres, 4993 tons ; other crops, 724 acres. The total number of acres under crop is estimated at 44,784. From a return published in the New Zealand Gazette of May 12, the quantity and value of gold exported from New Zealand for the quarter ending March 31, areas follows : — Auckland, 30,008 ozs., £105,997 ; Marlborough, 48 ozs., £192 ; Nelson, 41,106 ozs., £165,318 ; Westland, 38,893 ozs., £155,647 ; Otago, 46,386 ozs., £186,628 ; Southland, 885 ozs, £3542. The total quantity of gold exported from this colony up to March 31, is 5,155,295 ounces, valued at £20,024,218.
