Nelson, Oct. 14, 5.5 p.m. A rich gold-bearing quartz reef has been discovered at Wangapeka river, about fifty miles from Nelson. Splendid specimens have been brought in. The Land office was besieged this morning ; 130 acres have been bought up, and the land iB now withdrawn from sale. Great expectations are formed.
