A GOOD AYRSHIRE
Ah eight-year-old pedigree Ayrshire cow, Ayrdale Rose, bred and owned by Mr W. H. Oates, of Hhiuera, was the highest producer for the 1938-39 season in the New Zealand Co-operative HerdTesting Association and seems likely to to be the top cow under group test in New Zealand/ She has yielded 13,650 pounds of milk and 807 pounds of butterfat in 310 days, and with testing being continued she is expected to complete with approximately 887 pounds of butter fat in 365 days. This is equal to 2£ lb? of butterfat a day.
