KATIKATI STOCK SALE The Farmers’ Co-operative Autioneering Company Limited report a good yarding of cattle at their Katikati sale held on Wednesday, 16th August. The small entry of fat cows was in keen demand and forward conditioned and boner cows realised par values. Dairy cattle were rather dull of sale, most of the vendors meeting the market, A small yarding of store pigs sold under spirited competition. Quotations were: —Fat Hereford and Shorthorn cows £7 16s to £9; light fat Jersey cows £5 7s to £5 12s 6d; fresh conditioned cows'lß4 to £4 10s; boner cows £2 5s to £3 12s; poor conditioned cows 23s to 335; empty 2-vear heifers £2 5s to £2 11s; springing Jersey cross heifers £5 10s to £6 15s; small and backward £4 5s to £5; dairy cows due September £5 to £6 10s; late calvors £3 5s to £4 10. Pigs-.—Good stores 30s to 345; slips 25s to 29s 6d; weaners 23s ; small Bs.
