METHODIST CHURCH
BRING AND BUY AFTERNOON
There was a good attendance at the “Bring and Buy” afternoon at the Methodist Parsonage on Wednesday last, and all thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The Ladies’ Guild were responsible for the arrangements, which included competitions and vocal and musical items. In .the Mesdames Watson, F. Scott and Miss Carpenter were the winners. Solos were rendered by Mrs Watson and Miss Ida Diprose, while Miss Diprose also obliged with a pianoforte solo.
A dainty afternoon tea was served, after which all adjourned to the well-filled stalls in the grounds, where good business was done. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr and Mrs Attwood for the use of their home and grounds for the occasion. The proceeds of the afternoon will be devoted to the Church.
