Te Puke Ward’s Meet

, Good conditions prevailed for the Hunt Club’s meet on Wednesday, there being a large number of riders and followers. The course was over the properties of Messrs F, Donovan, J. Witherow, C. Whitehead, N. McDonald, A- Baker and R. Patterson, No. 3 Road. Several hares were raised on the outward and inward rung, a kill being registered, the quarry leading the pack a merry chase for about 30 minutes.

About three p.m. the riders and followers assembled at Mr A. M. Fagan’s residence where they partook of afternoon tea. Mr D. S. ~ Neilson expressed the Club’s thanks to Mr and Mrs Fagan for their generosity in again throwing open their home for afternoon tea. Among the followers were : Mrs Griffen, on Huia : Mrs S.
