A Glosa Game NEPIA PLAYS BRILLIANTLY Brisbane, July 21 A crowd of 10,000 witnessed the return matoh between Queensland and the Maoris. The weather was perfect. Immediately play started Suller scored for the home team, the try being converted, The Maoris then attacked, Queensland's defence being severely tested, and a try resulted, Hemi converting. Nepia thrilled the crowd by taking the ball brilliantly and following up to smother Vincent. The Maoris were continually in Queensland territory, Harrison being outstanding. At half time the score was 5 all.
On resuming Queensland was again placed on the defensive, and Phillips scored, Hemi adding the major points. Play now was thrilling, the ball travelling from one end of the field to tho other. N icboison then scored for Queensland, the try being converted. A rush by the Maori forwards resulted in Broderick scoring and Hemi converting. j A penalty kick to (he homo ! team brought thoir score to 18 ; against the visitors' Li __ QueersU'd i.hcu set Up a big attack, but : Nf-pia proved a rock of deforce, <ir,d the Maoris left the field with ; a well-deserved win. Smith played a wonderful game throwing the Queensland b'.oks about like bags of chaff, whilst : Harrison, Cooper, Brodrrick and * Mafe&ira were also prominent,
