The Te Hurinui-Apanui Shield Match, played on Saturday b - tween Rangitaiki and Apanul. resulted in a decisive win for the former by 39 poin's to 9.

A friendly match between Ihe above teams wes played on Jubilee Park on Saturday and despite a cold and bleak afternoon at traded a fair number of spectators who were trested to a very interesting exposition of the game. Mr Pat Wihapi handled the whistle.

Wh&katane (white) kicked off and at once carried play into the reds territory, Davis being caught in possession.
