Through Booking By Rail
A Misunderstanding Corrected Information received by the Railways Department indicates that some people are not fully aware of the wide scope of the through-booking system. They know thai it links the North and South Islands, but they have a notion that it does not cover a stretch of road till certain cases ora service which may include rail and sea/rail and road, or all sea, as for example, between Wei lington and Gisborne. An advertisement in this issue shows that this convenient, economical sys tem is very comprehensive. Official figures demonstrate that increasing numbers of people are taking advantage of the facilities in accordance with the spread of information about the benefits so readily available. The system has worked with a smoothness which has drawn warm praise from many travellers and consignors of goods.
