Kaituna River Board

A meeting of the KaitUna River Board was held on Saturday. Present t Messrs M. Griffin (chairman), E. H. Hints, A. j» Collins. E. J. Ford, M. G. Cruickshank and A. H. Snodgrass, On the motion of Mr Snodgrass it was decided that pubiio notice be given of the Board’s intention to make and levy for the year commenced April 1, 1932 and ending March 31,1933, a gradual ed general rate and also to collect annually recurring rates due. Mr W. N. Burt, August 26 wrote giving his consent to proposed work on the Waiari stream. Messrs Welsh, McCarthy, Houston and Coleman, Solicitors, Hawera, forwarded notice of transfer from estate of C. J. Collins to Shearer Bros of lot 2 D.P. 20374 part lot 4 seotion 37 Block Maketu S.D. The Unemployment Board forwarded letters re payment of moneys due and work on private properties. It was resolved that the Town Board be written to and thank*d for the work done by the relief - workers on the Waiari stream | also that the Day and Night Garage be thanked for the loan of jiock and tackle*

On the motion of Mr ttioig it was decided that the snags in th« Kahuna River be removed as % relief work and that Mr Ford'a offer to provide a launch for purpose be accepted with thanks, the Board to find the fuel *nd defray imsedentai expense^
