ELECTORS in the Town district should scarcely reminder that an election fdr the! return .qf, seven members will take ; T ri ' i : j ■ v : i ft ? ... "place tomorrow. Any local fitident of 21 years of age wjio has beeha resident in theDomipion for twelve months and in the ToWfi< District for three months eligible to vote, provided that hid or jbw name the electors rpll, It is somewhat remarkable that, notwithstanding the publicity given by the Board to the effect that those who were able to comply with the conditions mentioned could have their names placed on the roll if application were made before a certain date, only one person availed himself of the privilege. The affairs of the Town District for the past four years have been administered by the Board that has just vacated offioe and events have proved that its careful and far-* sighted policy in a time of depression was in the best interests of the ratepayers. This is evidenced by the fact that this year it is able to forego the collection of rates to the extent of no less than £BOO. At tbs same time it is pleasing to notice that three local residents are aspiring to seats on the Board for it shows that greater interest is beiug taken in matters Affecting the town and that tlje apathy that has existed for some years past shows signs of disappearing. The polling booth is at the Town Board offioe and the hours of polling are between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. We are making this publio in the hope that all those who are eligible will take the trouble to record their votes. This is a duty that they owe to the town, and if they have any regard for its welfare they should make a point of attending at the polling booth and supporting those candidates whom they think best qualified to guide its destinies.
