Miss Zita Longworth, who was successful recently in gaining a matriculation pass, has been appointed a probationer at the Te Puke District High School. Mr T. MoDoweil, Mayor of Rotorua, has left for a months’ holiday at (Kawau, having been indisposed for some time past, Mr J. Persey left/ror Whangarei this morning with the intention of enteringMs son Jack at a boarding schoonn that centre.
At the Rotorua Sanatorium on Tuesday* Nurse Evelyn Willis on the eve of her departure to take up a position in the Palmerston North Hospital was presented by the “San” patients with a gold wristlet watch.
