AUCKLAND PROVINCIAL MOTOR CYCLE CLUB.

The second general meeting of the above Club was held in the rooms of the Auckland Camera Club, Swanson Street, Auckland, on Tuesday, the 14th inst., at 7.30 p.m. It was decided that the name of the Club be the "Auckland Provincial Motor-Cycle Club," and that .the colours of the Club be blue and white. It was further decided that the colours be carried on the rear of each machine in the form of a white circle 3 inches in diameter, in the centre of which is a blue circle 1£ inches in diameter, the whole to be surmounted by a blue scroll bearing the letters A.P.M.C.C. The opening day was fixed for Labour Day, when all motor cyclists, whether members or not, are invited to take part in a run to Howick, while a "Picture Evening" is to be held on the same evening. The rules of the club, which had been drawn up by a sub-committee appointed for that purpose, were submitted to the meeting, and, with a few alterations, were iconfirmed and adopted. A programme, as under, was adopted for the first part of the season:— Monday, October 27.—Opening run to Howick. Sunday, November 2.—Club run to Hunua Falls. Sunday, November 9.—Club run to Blockhouse Bay. Saturday, November 15. — Hillclimbing competition. Sunday, November 23.—Club run to Buckland's Landing. Saturday, December 6.—Turnout in connection with St. John Ambulance Floral Fete. Saturday, December 13.—Publicity run. Saturday, January 10.—Motorcycle race meeting. * * * During the season reliability and endurance tests will be carried out. a s *s A Publicity Committee, consisting of Messrs. arrived five short, but replenished their numbers with the Kaipara emergencies, who assisted with zeal. The Ohma forwards were heavy, but were outclassed by the dash and good rushes of the Kaipara forwards. The visitors kicked well and followed hard, but onoe among the backs of the local team it was soon back into Ohma's twenty-five, and with good passing runs, was soon across the line. Owing to a strong wind only two. goals were kicked. Kaipara 28, Ohma nil.
