Ten entries were received for the Falcon Cup competition. As the rViles (stipulate tlhat no fbyes [shall take place after the first round, it was necessary that only two matches should be played on Saturday. The draw resulted as follows:— Adelphian, v. Brotherhood B, Taber"nacle B v. North Shore B. The matches were played at Bayswater in windy weather, rain falling during the second spell. Adelphians faced Brotherhood • two men short, and therefore played a one back game. Tabernacle showed sound defence and combination, and before halftime Swales and Mason had each scored! a goal. Shore opened the second spell on the offensive, Hillman scoring. Tabernacle again took charge, Shore being on the defensive during the rest of the game. Stirling scored three goals and Mason one, and the game ended: Tabernacle, 6; North Shore, ■1. The following teams are now left in the competition: —Everton 1., ' Tabernacle 1., Tabernacle 11., Tabernacle 111., North Shore 1., Huntly, Brotherhood 1., Brotherhood 11. In the third grade, Richmond defeated! Wild' Rose by one goal to nil, after an exciting contest.. This gives Richmond a lead for the championship of two points. At the meeting of the management committee on- Tuesday, 10th August, Mr F. W. Dance wrote resigning his position as a member of that body . It was decided to accept same. Huntly Club has entered for the Cup competition, and teams drawn to meet them will travel to Pukekohe, where the match will take place.
