.GOAL BILL. ___• ■ ■ Notice is hereby given that a Local Bill will be introduced into Parliament during the present session thereof under the title of The Auckland City Markets and Empowering Act, 1915. The objects of the said Bill are :— (a) To enable the Auckland City Council in connection with its Fish Market to buy, sell, and deal with fish and the waste products of fish, fishing-boats, nets, gear, and other things required by fishermen, and to establish smokehouses, freezing chambers, and other works and' appliances for smoking and preserving fish and other articles of food. (b) To require all fish to, be inspected by the Council's Inspector before being sold for consumption in the City. (c) To require sales of fish in wholesale quantities and auction sales of fish to be made at the Council's Fish. Market or other place appointed by the Council. (d) To provide for fixing charges for the inspection, cleaning, storing, preserving, and selling of fish at the Market and for the collection of such fees and for the punishment of; offences against the provisions of the Bill. (c) To enable the Council to grant leases of portions of the Fish Market and City Market and of the old City Market Endowment without putting the same up to public auction or tender. (f) To authorise the Council to erect, maintain, let, and use for certain purposes buildings upon recreation reserves which were existing when such reserves were vested in the Council, and to erect further buildings for tea kiosks, museums, drill sheds, and residences in recreation reserves. (g) To authorise the erection of a building for educational purposes in Myers Park, and the leasing of portions of certain reserves. The above Bill will be introduced into Parliament by or on behalf of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland. A Copy of the said Bill has, in accordance with the Standing Orders, been, desopited in the Magistrate's Court at Auckland, and is there open for public inspection.
