The annual meeting of the Mount Eden Bowling Club attracted an attendance of about thirty-five members. The report and balance-sheet, as read by secretary Alf. Dickinson and treasurer H. M. Gill, were unanimously adopted. The past season had been very successful, and play throughout was of a high standard,

In the various tournaments the club had! been well represented, the principal success being gained by C. 0. Baker and his team, who captured' the Takapuna competition. The successful prize-winners receiveed their awards: —Club championship singles, R. Rankin; runner up, J. G. Miller. Handicap singlese, H. T. Surman; runner-up, R. Rankin- Club fours, J. Robertson, Dr. Owen, W. S. Dickey, H. W. Brookese; runners-up, W. Holland, W. McPherson (subi), W. P. Baker, J. H. Trayes. Club pairs, Dr. Owen, R. Rankin; runners-up, H. T. King, G. H. White. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mr H. W. Gill; secretary, Mr A. Dickinson (re-elected); treasurer, Mr J. Coe; green superintendent, Mr R. Rankin (re-elected) ; committee, Messrs H. W. Br< .*kes, W. Raid, W. J.. Gatenby; delegates Auckland Centre, Messrs H. W. Brookes, J. Smith, A. Dickinson; auditor, Mr S. Gray (re-elected); press reporter, Mr W. P. Baker (reelected). It was resolved to play the following competitions next season:— Club Championship, Handicap Singlese, Club Fours (in sections), Club Pairs. A resolution of condolence was passed to Mr J. V. Rich on the death of his wife. Tlie greetings of the Club were sent to Dr. Robert Walton, serving with distinction at the Dardaneljlese. It is pleasing to note the club will lie further represented in the fighting line by Mr E. F. Norman, who has enlisted!. He carries the best wishes of his club mates for a safe return. At Rocky Nook, Irvine had the best of it by 3 points with Bouskill, after a very close and interesting game, which finished) 25-22. Jackson, Page and Williams played well for the former, whilst Bouskill received the necessary assistance from Cooper, Rathbonc and B. Kayes. Another close game was that between Wakeiiey and Geo. Gladding, the former getting home by 1 point. Aspden, W. Gladding and Drangfield all helped in the win, and Cossey, White and Butler did what was required for Gladding, Cossey especially rolling very consistently. Hughie Fraser, assisted by Turner, W. Jenkin aud , Pearce, had a good win from John Jenkin, who had as his associates Gentles, Clark and Hirst, the game ending 27-16.
