On Saturday night the hall was reopened with a benefit concert in aid of Mrs (tub. Connolly, which was well patronised. Great praise is due to the performers for the manner in which a sp'eudid programme was gone through, seeing that the concert was got up In such a short time. After. the concert, d.incinc commenced, and was kept up until midnight. On the whole, a very enjoyable, evening was spent, and everyone was thoroughly satisfied. ..Tlie teacher was doing a big mash with Miss Me. Not so bad for one just coming out of his shell.. What is the matter with J C and E A lately ? Surely yon are not going to give up the running already ? I see W O has taken up his abode on the beach of late with a pencil and paper. Are you taking sketches ? You had b'tter ow(e>n up to it, W. . What takes W W to town so often ? WO would like to know. .Who is the joung lady with so many strings to her bow? '•\sk JB..CG says he will have nothing to do with the Euaotunn girls ; but the O M would like to know how it is he is always smiling at the choir girls?.. l hear J H a>-d M N have gone to town to tie the fatal knot. .G- B and Ii L are very slow. Hurry up, G, for the tin-cans aTe getting rusty I see F RI has stepped in and beaten all the boys for Miss L..Well one, F; she will ' love ' you all the ' mo(o)re.' ...G McC seems quite himself again since A G came back. ..Too bad of J S to mash the young lady from the Bay and leave M to do a weep. . What was the attraction for E G up. behind the scene while the dance was on ? Was it because she was shy, or was J B the attraction ? ...J McS has fallen in love with the fair maid, but you have plenty opposition, J.. .R H seems to be 'on his own ' lately. But I can quite understand it, you are a ' hard man' to please. ...T Hand F McM are very qu'et now.. .The ladies are making great prepartions for the coming ball. It promises to be a great success.
