TE AWAMUTU
The recent social in connection with the ' Dorothy Quadrille Assembly ' was an immense success. The capital decorating was in the hands of an efficient committee, viz. Messrs C. R. Taylor, H. Thompson, G. Cox, and Misses L. Manning, B. North and L. Taylor. The excellent music was supplied by Miss Archer (piano) and Mr C. Wall (violin). Appended are a few of the dresses worn. One lady looked very neat in black lace and crimson ribbons ; Miss F. North, black lace skirt, silk bodice finished with pink and silver net ; Miss B McKinder, pretty white dress with pink sash and trimmings; Miss R. Steward, black skirt, creme and blue delai c bodice; Miss L. North, white musnu trimmed with lace and pale blue ribbons ; Miss Taylor, black silk with maroon trimmings; Miss Knox, pretty lavender dress with creme lace flounces, and many others.
