A. and 'Cycle Club's spring 1 meeting, Domain ground, Saturday, Nov. 25fch. Read the splendid sports' programme in this issue. Mr S. Adams' pupils' annual concert eventuates at the Opera House on Tnesday, 24th inst. The prices of admission will be very low, while the programme, which appears in another column, promises to prove thoroughly enjoyable. Mr Adams' concerts are generally amongst the most enjoyable musical events of the year. A splendid programme has been provided for the Choral Society's third Orchestral concert in the Choral Hall this (Thursday) evening. Nearly the whole of the orchestral items in the programme, as printed in our columns, are new to the Anckland public and in addition the compositions are from the pieces of our best and most popular composers. Braham's beautiful trio for piano, clarionet and 'cello should in itself attract the notice of local musicians. The composition although exceedingly difficult is very popular and in the hands of Miss Harding, Messrs S. Jackson and G. Paque will be certain of an artistic interpretation. Schubert's wellknown and popular Trout Quintette will be played by Miss Reeve, Messrs J. A. Beale, Sohmitt, Zimmerman and Tutschka. Amongst the vocal items Mr F. Norman contributes ' A Bandit's Life ' and ' The Flying Dutchman.' Miss Reeve will sing Denza's ' Had you but known ' and Molloy's ' The Carnival ;' to the latter a violin obligato will be contributed by Prof. Sohmitt. Burns' Club Assembly Plain and Fancy Dress Ball at St. George's Hall, Friday, Nov. 3. Going to be a gorgeous success. Don't forget the Gondolier Masquerade Ball to be held on Friday, 27th inst., at St. George's Hall. This ball will terminate the fifth season of Mr and Mrs F. G. Bassett's several classes.
