A SUGGESTION,
The cleansing of W.C.s once a fortnight is not a sufficient regulation. It should be made compulsory that disinfectants be systematically used ; and, in order to make the requirement as light a pecuniary burden as possible to the poor, the City Council should fnrnish the disinfectant either free, or at just sufficient cost to render its not being thrown away. A city's health is the first question, and sanitary expenditures are always cheaper than doctor's bills, Don't waste six months thinking about this hint, but discuss and act upon it at once.
