BUTTER PRICES LOWER.
COLD STORAGE POSITION. SEASONAL RISE DELAYED. NOT MUCH INQUIRY. [By Telegraph. —Press Association]. AUCKLAND, Sept. 26. A message from London states that prices for butter have further declined OAving to a continued lack of inquiry. Values appear to be purely nominal. Continental buyers hoav share the weakness of stocks from the Dominions Canadian butter sold as low as 108/- a CAVt. Stocks held in cold store have passed their peak and Averc reduced by 435 S tons in August. The total stood at 31,109 tons on September 10, compared witli 21,909 tons last year. The cold store situation, apart from political uncertainties, is disturbing to the market, especially as European production remains good.
