At a meeting of the Borough Com munity Chest Committee yesterday, after the Borough Advisory Committee meeting, it was decided to accede to a request that a grant should be made to the Band. The meeting passed the folloAving resolution: “That the Associated Chambers of Commerce be asked to impress the Government Avith tho urgency of the need of a well-planned and extensive immigration policy, together Avith any other practicable moans toward a rapid increase of population as being essential to the future security and Avell-being of Noav Zealand.”
