BUTTER PRICES.
“UNFAIR PRACTICE.”
ALLEGED OVERCHARGING. STATEMENT BY MINISTER. [By Telegraph.—Press Association]. WELLINGTON, Sept. 22. The Hon. W. Nash, Minister for Marketing, made the following statement to-day: — “The Government has been advised that some storekeepers are charging abnormal prices for butter allegedly on account of the. increase in the guaranteed price. This constitutes unfair practice, as all butter sold to retailers and wholesalers up to the present has been charged at the 1937-38 prices.”
