POLICE MAKE ARREST.
MISSING THEATRE TAKINGS. INCIDENT IN HOTEL. THEFT CHARGE PREFERRED. [By Telegraph. —Press Association]. WELLINGTON, Sept. 22. Detectives arrested a man in Palmerston North this week on a charge of theft of theatre takings of tho Paramount and Roxy Theatres, Wellington. A bag containing cash and cheques, totalling about £2OO, takings from these theatres, was last week missed from a hotel office, where it had been deposited. It is believed that all the cheques and a large part of the cash has been recovered.
