BIBLE IN SCHOOLS.
SUPPORT FOR PROPOSAL. NO DOCTRINE INVOLVED. [By Telegraph.—Press Association] WELLINGTON, April 13. Evidence supporting; religious instruction for school children was given before the Education Committee yesterday. Mrs. M. Paterson, superintendent of the Bibles in schools department of the Christian Temperance Union, said the union strongly supported a daily devotional system, because that system reached every pupil. Such a system was already working well in secondary schools, and there could be no objection to those exercises, as no doctrine. was involved- -
