KEEN INTEREST.
BY LORD BLEDISLOE. IN DOMINION DAIRYING. PRESENT TO OTAGO MUSEUM. Lord Bledisloe’s oft-repeated love for, and interest in, New Zealand, is not merely a wordy statement, and tangible examples of his interest arc continually arising. The Otago Museum lias been honoured by the former Gov-ernor-General’s generosity. There have arrived at the museum two models of dairy cows, one Jersey and one Friesian, to be incorporated in an agricultural section which will be set out later in the year. These models, the work of a well-known English sculptor, Mr. Isvesta Lloyd, cost £25. Lord BlcdisToe not only commissioned Mr. Lloyd to do this work, but he also donated the sum of £5/5/towards the cost. The, models, which are about 12in long, and stand about Sin. high, arc verv realistic.
